I'm Jenni, and I've been looking to really refine myself now that I'm in my 30s. I've come to appreciate the importance of embracing my femininity. So this is my beginning journey. What really sparked me to finally begin was the birth of my daughter, Anwyn. I realized that I want to teach her how to be a lady, but I have to learn how first!
This is the blog that sparked me to chronicle my journey. The author Kathleen really has a sense of herself and I love how she is sharing it with others. Her post "
Why Should I Wear a Hat - to Feel Sexy!!" has a great link to an amazing TED talk that helped me understand the difference between love and desire and why each are important and how they work. If you're married or want to be in the future this talk is a must watch in my opinion. I mention this talk because I want to keep my husband interested in me and find me attractive. But in order for me to accomplish this I needed to better understand what the difference between love and attraction is. The TED talk helped me better understand that. So I'm motivated to reach this goal because my husband finds femininity attractive, as well as, the classic role of the woman. I also like being seen as a lady and not his competition to be in control of our house hold, just a partner. It doesn't hurt though to look good and take care of my self which I'm discovering I don't do very well, as I think many women feel.
So I'll be using this blog to define my own sense of style, as well as, what being a Lady means to me. Here's some of the obstacles I face in defining my style. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Here's what I'm starting with:
 |
| Size 14 |
Here's my goal! It's not about a size or weight to reach but this feeling of being beautiful and confident!
 |
| Confidence! |
 |
| Professional, classic styles |
Thanks for coming along with me!
